I shot my first boudoir session in 2021 after a client, who had already booked me for their wedding, lamented there wasn’t anyone approaching the genre in a more editorial, documentary way. Five years later and over 100 beautiful souls captured, it’s become one of my favorite projects to shoot.
You won’t find “client closets” here. Nor will you find the same handful of poses that are eerily common (looking at you, double hand bra and arched back on all fours). What you will find is an artist’s approach to the genre. I focus on personality and individuality. Wearing the same bodysuit 8 other clients have worn this year isn’t you. Bring your favorite pair of jeans, the t-shirt you met your significant other in, a unique bra and panty set that matches your personality, or that one piece of lingerie you own that's always made you feel unstoppable.
All that matters is that you feel like yourself.
I have my own studio, which most of my clients choose. It’s got tons of natural light, a homey feel, and a selection of backdrops for the studio look. I’ve also shot in Airbnbs, some local wedding venues, higher-end hotels, and clients’ personal homes. If you need hair and makeup, I work with my favorite teams from the wedding industry. Folks with lots of expertise and chill vibes.
Prices start at $600 for the session alone, which includes the consultation, shooting time, and final edited images, all of which receive a light touchup before going out. It’s $800 if you'd like to include hair and makeup. Most folks purchase a keepsake item as well, but that isn’t required. There are options for loose photos in a walnut wooden box, as well as 4×4, 8×8, and 12×12 photo albums.
some kind words from beautiful souls
“I have been fortunate enough to work with Stephen on bridal shots, boudoir, portraits and recently, my maternity shoot. I am always impressed by how lovely the photos turn out and how equally wonderful he is to work with.
Would be hard to find a better photographer to work with, truly!”
- Sarah“Such an amazing experience. I felt beyond comfortable and I knew the vibes were going to be set the second Stephen asked what kind of music I would like to play while shooting. Such a kind, fun, soul who made me feel so beautiful and seen!”
- Maddie“Stephen's photography is one of a kind!!! Stephen has captured our wedding photos, my boudoir photos, and most recently our pregnancy announcement - we moved out of state this year and flew back to Charleston just so he could take these pictures for us!! He is professional and exceptional at what he does. 10/10 recommend!”
